After a great few days of campaigning across the region, we will be out in Brighton Kemptown this weekend, for our fantastic candidate Lloyd Russell-Moyle!
It is vital that we get large numbers of activists out on the streets, convincing voters that Labour's vision for Britain is the only one that will work for them.
Every session will begin with an activist briefing and there will be plenty of experienced local activists around to give background on local issues and answer any questions you may have. Anyone who is new to campaigning will be paired up with an experienced activist, so no need to feel nervous if this is your first time.
Also join us on Sunday evening for a fantastic training with the Bernie Sanders' team! We will run through what happens on GOTV day and how to be most effective. On June 8th we will knock on hundreds of thousands of doors to remind Labour supporters to vote. This will make the difference between winning and losing. It is the most important day of campaigning.
The training is suitable for both new and experienced activists - it will cover:
the basics of door knocking
how to have persuasive conversations
how to find common ground with voters
linking policy to the issues that matter to people
how to answer challenging questions
The session will be active and participatory, while also providing practical advice and materials to use when campaigning.
